Class description
In this immersive two-day workshop, dive deep into the fascinating world of woodturning. Under the expert guidance of Simon, explore both the art of spindle and bowl turning. With your very own lathe station, you’ll have ample hands-on experience crafting various projects from a simple spinning top to intricately textured bowls. Whether you’re a seasoned craftsman or a curious beginner, we’ll equip you with the knowledge to master essential techniques, from the basic V-cut to advanced sanding methods for bowls.
Suitable for all, from absolute novices to intermediate enthusiasts. We welcome passionate learners aged 14 and above. Note: For minors, a parent or guardian’s presence on the premises is essential.

WHAT TO BRINg
Your safety is paramount. While we provide personal protective equipment (PPE), students may choose to bring their own face mask, safety glasses or goggles, and earmuffs or earplugs. Footwear should be closed-toed. For those seasoned with their own turning chisels, bring them along for a more personalized experience. Don’t fret if you don’t have tools; we’ve got you covered. Our on-site kitchen is equipped for those who’d like to bring meals, and there are local eateries just a stroll away.
